Joseph Lo Monaco's Collection
Carvin BBS ID: filthyjoe

Joe has been a great friend to the Carvin Museum, having provided many of the vintage ads and several years worth of catalog data.  And he has a excellent collection of vintage Carvin gear, including the nicest V220 I've ever seen, and a great original Kiesel guitar amplifier.

Above, from left to right, are the following:

- 1985 DC100CE; clear finish with ebony fingerboard and chrome hardware
- 1979 DC150CM; clear finish with ebony fingerboard and chrome hardware
- 1979 CM130BE; black finish with ebony fingerboard and chrome hardware
- 1984 V220T; clear finish on curly maple, Kahler tremolo, gold hardware

Unlike newer Carvins, the entire body and neck of Joe's V220 is made from curly maple (not just a top).  Stunning!

And on the left:

- 1979 LB50 bass; black finish with ebony fingerboard and chrome hardware

Below, in the top row, is a 1974 ST2400 head with a 4X12 cabinet (left) and a 1974 TR200 cabinet (right).  On the next row is a 1974 ML-212 combo (left) and a 1978 VT-112 combo (right).

On the left top is a 1968 head, which was one of Carvin's early solid-state models.  On the left center is a 1979 VTR-2800 head.  On the left bottom is an ST-300 head from 1981.

Below is a great old amp.  This is a 1948 Kiesel model #8-B, which was one of the last pieces of equipment made before Kiesel officially became Carvin in 1949.  Very nice!
