Ted's AC175
Carvin Museum Forums ID: Tripoutski

Here's a beautiful AC175, made in mid-1994 (shortly after the model debuted in the '94 catalog).  It's finished in clear gloss on flamed maple with matching inline headstock.  At the time, matching headstocks weren't an option, but Ted was able to get Carvin to create a custom headstock overlay; shortly thereafter, matching flamed or quilted headstocks became a standard option.  Other features include a mahogany neck and body, ebony fingerboard and gold hardware.

Mike's AC275 (& AE185)

Mike's wife picked up this 2004 AC275 in June of '04 from Carvin's Guitars-In-Stock section of their website.   It has a mahogany neck and body, with a quilted top and matching headstock finished in clear gloss.  Other features include abalone block inlays and gold hardware.

Shown also is Mike's AE185, which arrived shortly after his AC275.  It has a flamed maple top and matching headstock finished in clear gloss, with abalone block inlays and black hardware.

Mike added custom tortoiseshell truss rod covers to both, as well as the tortie pickguard on the AE185.

Paul's AC175

Here's an AC175 that has an unusual feature - a CT headstock.  Probably the first one made with this feature.  Other options include a quilted top with a clear gloss finish, medium-jumbo stainless steel frets on an unadorned rosewood fingerboard and gold hardware.  Paul says:

"I fell in love with my bass guitarist's AC175 and played it to death on loan for about six weeks. I had the chance to air his out at a worship service, and at a blues gig with my bassist and the rest of my band up in Maine, and that was all it took. I was instantly sold on this great, but often overlooked member of the Carvin lineup. I ordered one and couldn't be happier. The AC175 is a fun guitar to leave out and noodle around on. It's a definite keeper, and so practical."

Paul also has a 2006 SC90 - see it right here.

Cody's AC375

This is a beautiful 2006 model AC375.  It's finished in clear gloss on quilted maple with a matching headstock.  The body and neck are mahogany, and the fingerboard is ebony with mother-of-pearl block inlays.  Gold hardware rounds out the package.
